Summary of Job

The Label Operator will oversee the complete function of the Label station during each production run. He/She will be responsible to provide the correct label for each work order with correct information provide on each work order instructions. Have work order and labels ready for each set-up. Ensures that Ensures all Label Operator documents and records are properly and accurately completed. Performs all these activities in compliance with company’s personnel safety, food safety, food defense and food quality systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Checks work order instructions-based requirements for each label throughout each production run to ensure a consistent product and avoid mislabeled finish good.
• Prints more labels based on operator needs with specifications.
• Maintains and records requests on Label Control Report.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Always maintains area clean and SQF compliant.
• Complies and enforces food quality and food safety.
• Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Education and Qualifications*

• Basic math, reading skills, good communication skills, written and oral.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-learner and ability to multi task
• Basic computer knowledge

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up 50 lbs.

• Able to operate a pallet jack and safely move up to 2000 lbs. of product.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate properly
• Must be able to stand, walk, work in an environment where stooping, twisting and bending are frequent up to 10 hrs.
