Overview

Continental Cement is currently seeking a Laborer to perform general clean-up work throughout the plant, lawn work, labor work involved in refractory replacement of kiln and cooler, snow removal from roadways and sidewalks, and painting.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks in a safe and professional manner in conformance with plant rules, quality standards and company policies.
• Performs general clean-up work throughout the plant including inside and outside buildings.
• Cleans up material spills.
• Performs lawn work as needed.
• Performs outside labor work involved in refractory replacement in kiln and cooler, snow removal from roadways and sidewalks, painting, etc.
• Operates mobile equipment as needed.
• Assists other job classifications as needed.
• Provides vacation relief in other job classifications as needed.
• Responds to reasonable emergency call outs on an as needed basis.

Skills & Experience

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to physically perform the essential job functions for the position.
• Ability to work overtime, all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must demonstrate good employability skills (attendance, job performance, attitude, willingness to work, etc.)
• Proficient in English language
• Pervious experience in grounds and facility maintenance preferred.

Compensation Range:

Starting Pay: $21.76 per hour, overtime eligible.
