Our team in Boulder, Colorado is looking for motivated leaders to drive our Operations and Development teams into the future. In these challenging assignments you will be responsible to lead your program, product, or initiative while working with your peers to deliver positive culture change across the Boulder site. This position is the engineering leader responsible for managing our Infrastructure with specific focus on Boulder Labs and its operations.
This position will provide engineering leadership and management skills. Understanding engineering processes will be required to lead the team. Candidate will be part of a team working to capture, define, architect, design, develop, integrate, and test products to various military and potential commercial customers. Candidate will work closely with site leadership, program managers, product owners, and peers; assuming project responsibility for follow on business capture, proposal and project management of product baselines.
Specific tasks include:
This position is in beautiful Boulder, Colorado location which has numerous amenities such as a fitness center, daily rotating food trucks, and a collaborative and modern agile workspace (in some cases).

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

- Management for a 5 to 15 person team.
- Manage personnel resources to support the site's financial plans.
- Build and maintain a staffing plan, coordinate forecasts with the LOB, recruit and hire to develop the proper skill level and diversity mix.
- Will have project cost and critical-path schedule accountability.
- Focus on providing guidance to staff members to meet critical schedules and resolve critical/complex technical or operational problems.
- Perform administrative management duties for engineering staff. This includes timecard approval (timekeeping/overtime authorization), compliance training, promotions, job actions, performance
- Own, execute, and status department level initiatives.
- Change agent in responsible area with focus on affordability and advancing technical capabilities and innovation.

Basic Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Leadership experience

- Knowledge of LM management processes and project leadership

- Experience in writing Basis of Estimates
- Demonstrated experience in managing a engineering skill set to achieve functional and programmatic requirements and goals
