The Laundry Aide is responsible for sorting, washing, folding and transporting all types of laundry and documenting information according to department policy and procedure.

Job Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience
High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Six months experience in an institutional laundry preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
Good manual dexterity and motor skills.
Basic math skills.
Mechanically inclined.
Must be able to lift 10-70 lbs. and push/pull heavy carts.
Ability to stoop, bend, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Exposed to noise, heat and humid conditions.
Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands for working with required equipment.
