POSITION TITLE: LAUNDRY ATTENDANT Location: Laredo, TX
FLSA: Non-Exempt Hire Pay: $ 10.00 Classification: Temporary (Rotate Shifts and weekends as needed)
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs Laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and ironing of items, and provides great customer service to clients.

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs Laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and ironing of items, and provides great customer service to clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs washing, drying, and folding of clothes, linens, towels, and bedding.
- Collects laundry and other items from clients.
- Sorts and keeps records of laundered items according to the client's name.
- Loads items into the washing machine.
- Loads items into dryers.
- Ironing duties.
- Clean out washers, dryers, and irons.
- Use chemicals to remove stains before processing into the washing machine.
- Abide by all safety and health regulations at all times.
- Complete relative paperwork and tagging.
- Folding duties.
- Report quickly any damage to equipment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives supervision from the Supervisor. The position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an outside environment. Works standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time while working on a daily basis. Sits, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties. Lifts equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes: Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be bilingual.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 30 pounds.
Other:
- Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
