Lead Data Scientist, Circle K Stores Inc., Tempe, AZ 85284:

Suggest innovative analytic methods to solve complex business problems. Create analytic datasets in

collaboration with data engineering teams that involves data querying, cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering. Develop, deploy, and validate advanced analytics/ machine learning models in the areas of retail merchandising and other areas as needed to derive business value. Utilize statistical, data mining and visualization techniques to generate actionable insights for the business. Pursue experimental design approaches to test hypotheses. Clearly and concisely explain analytical findings to technical and non-technical peers and business leaders.

Telecommuting permitted: up to 2 days/ 40% a week.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Applied Economics or a related field and 3 years of work experience in the field of advanced analytics, data mining, statistics.

Must have 3 years of experience in the following:

• Application of Advanced Analytics (e.g. Statistics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence) in a Non-Academic Environment (e.g. Private Sector or governmental entity)
• Processing query large datasets using SQL or spark
• Machine Learning using techniques such as regression, clustering, optimization etc.
• Data Mining, Data Analysis, Statistical Modeling
• SQL, Python, or R
• Cloud Platforms like AWS/ GCP/ or Azure
• DataViz tools like Tableau/ Power BI

Telecommuting permitted: up to 2 days/ 40% a week.

International travel required up to 5%.
