Lead Pharmacy Technician – Order Entry, Long Term Care

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides oversight for the operational workflow processes for the Order Entry Team
• Provides guidance to all Order Entry employees
• Assists in the hiring, training and ongoing mentoring for all Order Entry employees
• Works closely with leadership to ensure Order Entry policies and procedures comply with regulatory requirements while meeting customer expectations
• Prioritizes input of new & refill prescription orders in a timely, complete and accurate manner within the FrameworkLTC Order Entry system
• Maintains accurate patient profiles ensuring that patient demographic and clinical information is always up to date
• Ensures billing information is accurate and adjudication is completed prior to the filling processes
• Assists in prior authorization processes in coordination with clinical pharmacists
• Ensures first-call resolution of questions/issues with direct support of the pharmacist team
• Creates customer value through all customer interactions
• Provides respect and support to coworkers
• Contributes to a fun and positive team atmosphere

Requirements:

• Technician registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
• FrameworkLTC expertise
• Minimum of 3-5 years overseeing day to day operations activities in a healthcare environment
• 3+ years’ experience as an Order Entry technician. Long term care pharmacy preferred
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
