General Summary:

The role of Lead Radiation Therapist is to be the direct Supervisor of the Radiation Therapists in conjunction with the Radiation Oncology Manager. Duties include being the liaison between the Radiation Therapists and all other Radiation Oncology staff, as well as, making sure patient treatment procedures are followed.

Genesis Healthcare Partners Radiation Oncology Division consists of three clinic locations: Hillcrest and Escondido have Varian equipment and GE CT scanners while the Kearney Mesa office is equipped with Accuray CyberKnife.

What you will be doing

  • Assures coverage at all technical stations.
  • Monitors the technical work of the radiation therapists.
  • Works directly with the Radiation Oncology Director on department workflows and procedures.
  • Maintains inventory of all supplies needed for all three sites.
  • Assists with on boarding of all new staff radiation therapists
  • Reports all malfunctions of all equipment, knows safe limits, and ensures that interlocks are never overridden.


What you will bring to the team

  • 2+ years of recent experience working as a Radiation Therapist
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy
  • Certifications: Current ARRT, State of California and BLS Certification
  • Previous CyberKnife experience preferred
  • Mosaiq experience preferred
