Woodfords Family Services is seeking to hire an enthusiastic and motivated Training/E-learning Specialist to join our growing team of professional leaders! This position is full-time, salaried, and based onsite at our beautiful Training & Resource Center in Westbrook, ME!

Woodfords Family Services is a nonprofit organization that's been committed to the support and inclusion of people with special needs and their families in Maine communities for over 55 years. Today, the organization provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state of Maine.

Position Summary

The Training/E-learning Specialist is responsible for the development and maintenance of online and virtual courses provided to the Woodfords' team and community. This individual will work to create training content that is highly engaging, interactive, and specific to each of the programs and services at the organization. In addition, this individual will also assist in producing and facilitating trainings (live, online and in the virtual classroom).

Training Specialists report to the Director of Training & Professional Development and include the following key responsibilities:

• Ability to complete and maintain compliance with all instructor certifications (We provide!) required to carry out position responsibilities.
• Ability to effectively lead and facilitate various departmental trainings that include: American Heart Association First Aid/CPR, Behavioral Health Professional (BHP), Child Passenger Safety, College of Direct Support and Safety-Care.
• Complete special projects and assist with special trainings/conferences at the discretion of the Director of Training.
• Create/Revise e-learning using Articulate Storyboard 360 software.
• Develops storyboards and scripts for e-learning.
• Manipulates and edits digital imagery, video and incorporates graphics, and effects.
• Manipulates and edits audio using Audacity software.
• Create/Revise images that identify a concept or convey a message utilizing Adobe Photoshop.
• Apply interaction design and learning principles to instructional solutions for adult learners.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time (40 hrs.) Monday-Friday, with occasional nights and weekend trainings.
• $45,000/annually
• Location: Westbrook, ME

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant instructional experience
• Familiarity and understanding of intellectual/developmental disabilities
• Familiarity using a variety of software programs including Camtasia, Audacity and Microsoft PowerPoint.
