Legal Affairs Coordinator
Job description
NABP offers a 35 hour workweek.
This position is non-exempt and offers a hybrid work model.
The Legal Affairs Coordinator position is responsible for maintaining department calendars; ensuring timely registration and compliance renewals; developing and maintaining template documents and quality assurance practices; enhancing contract and database procedures including intake, maintenance, and quality assurance evaluations; implementing cost-effective solutions to support assignment tracking, and document version control; and coordinating department projects and activities.
Provides regular reports regarding all aspects of the program responsibilities and assignments, supports department attorneys and team members as required and requested, and interacts professionally and cooperatively with all departments of the Association, members, and outside parties.
Document and Data Preparation and Maintenance
- Maintains department calendars including corporate renewals and reminders
- Prepares corporate registration and renewal documentation for filing
- Develops, prepares, and maintains template documents including letters and agreements in consultation with the team
- Develops and maintains quality assurance processes supporting document and data accuracy
- Assists in preparing contracts for signature, data input and maintenance in the contract database, and reporting key contract renewals and reminders
- Timely responds to inquiries from outside the department regarding the status of contracts or documents in Legal Affairs.
Attorney Support
- Drafts legal correspondence in consultation with department attorneys.
- Sends mail to remote employees; coordinates staff travel as requested
- Assists in identifying, retrieving and preparing documents in response to legal requests
- Assist in developing and maintaining department and Association policies and procedures.
- Performs research as directed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.47 per hour
