• Strategic management of litigation, claims, disputes, and investigations
• Counsels and collaborates with business and functional colleagues to investigate and handle claims and resolve potential disputes
• Supports senior Legal Department colleagues on product recalls and product safety program initiatives
• Offers clear and effective counsel on a variety of legal issues
• Develops and improves policies and guidelines
• Develops and provides legal training on various topics to company personnel
• Works collaboratively and effectively with Legal Department colleagues, external counsel, internal business and functional teams, risk management, and insurance carriers
• Anticipates, researches, and communicates regarding legal issues that could impact the company
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

• Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and develop and maintain positive relationships with others at all levels inside and outside the company
• Knowledge of e-billing and matter management systems is a plus

• Have 8-15 years of experience law firm and/or in-house experience working on litigation, claims, disputes, and investigations
• Enjoy problem solving and operating in a fast-paced, collaborative business environment
• Be a practical, well-organized, highly motivated self-starter, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• In-house litigation management experience strongly preferred. Experience with manufacturing and/or construction is a plus.

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar of the State of Texas

• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
• Hybrid position. Office environment is located in the Galleria area, and at the Company factory and headquarters in the Cypress area as needed
• Must be able to travel (approx. 10%)
