Northeast Delta Human Services Authority
Northeast Delta Human Services Authority provides services and treatment to people diagnosed with major mental illnesses, developmental disabilities and addictive disorders throughout 12 parishes in northeastern Louisiana: Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas, Union and West Carroll.
Northeast Delta HSA is dedicated to transforming how we provide vital services to our citizens. We bring innovative programs to our citizens, which include integration of behavioral health with primary care services; services for children and adolescents with behavioral disorders that are at risk for experiencing a psychiatric or behavioral emergency; and collaborations with law enforcement agencies that help first responders know how to recognize mental health issues. We work to break down barriers that keep citizens from obtaining treatment. Our sole purpose is to keep the specific needs of the people in our communities at the forefront of our efforts.

40% Compiles psychosocial assessments on applicants for services utilizing a web-based assessment tool (ASI) and screening tools such as the SASSI. Formulates individualized treatment plans and presents to peers in staffing. Maintains client charts and prepares discharge summaries upon closure.
40% Facilitates group therapy in intensive outpatient program and in general outpatient program. Present educational material on addiction and recovery relevant to the needs to the clients. Provides individual and family counseling as needed. Documents clients’ responses to treatment in progress notes.
10% Participates in drug court staffing and status hearings. Documents drug court clients’ progress in DCCM web-based system. Networks with community leaders as well as other agencies to provide information and referral. Maintains LCSW licensure with the LABSWE.
10% May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities.
Is responsible and will be held accountable for being knowledgeable and efficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs and other computer programs directly related to the job duties. Will be responsible and held accountable for cross training self and subordinates in the knowledge of the job duties of other employees in the department and the functional performance of those job duties. It is mandatory all training be completed in a timely manner with completed documentation submitted to the In-Service Training Department.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work followed by three years of professional level social services experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners as required by law.
NOTE:
The master's degree in social work must be from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, 1701 Duke Street, Suite 200, Alexandria, VA 22314.
