Mental Health Clinical Supervisor – Adult Services

Job Description:

The MH Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for building and supervising the MH program for West Sound. This is a new program in its infancy in need of a strong, well versed leader to kick off the program. Once the program is in full function the supervisor will be responsible for managing a clinical team providing needed evaluation, individual treatment, and group work for those identifying with a persistent mental illness. The Supervisor supervises and evaluates the team in conjunction with appropriate psychiatric support to ensure service excellence and courteous, helpful and respectful services to program clients. The Supervisor will function as a practicing clinician maintaining a case load balanced against supervisory responsibilities.

Major Responsibilities:

· Direct day-to-day MH clinical operations.

· Lead staffing and treatment planning meetings.

· Direct and Coordinate the client admission process.

· Coordinate treatment with the agency contracted Medical Professional for diagnosis and medication management as needed.

· Direct and coordinate comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history.

· Participate in staff recruitment and development.

· Supervise chart management.

· Provide licensure supervision.

· Maintain a trauma informed care work environment, safe and secure.

Qualifications:

· Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health

· Five years experience and an approved supervisor

· Washington License (LMHC)

· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle report.

Performance Requirement

· Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in community mental health, including health care reform and automation of job tasks using computer technology.

· Comfortable and proficient with de-escalation skills to remain clam and helpful to individuals who may be distressed, angry, or experiencing a mental health crisis.

· Maintain thorough working knowledge of the electronic medical record system.

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
