PM Pediatrics is a national pediatric health care company with an extraordinary team of clinicians providing urgent care, mental health, and telemedicine to communities in 14 states. We promote collaborative relationships with families, medical homes, and schools, and partner with some of the nation’s most prestigious pediatric academic centers. We are now expanding to provide urgent care and mental health services to schools via our robust telehealth platform and are seeking talented Licensed Mental Health Therapists to work remotely for our School Health Program. POSITION SUMMARY:
PM Pediatrics Behavioral Health is hiring a Remote Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, or CPC) for our School Based Program to provide virtual mental health services to elementary, middle, and high school students during the school day.
The mission of our School Health Program is to deliver high-quality health care to students that is accessible, convenient, and affordable for all. Every single day you'll be working with an exceptional team to profoundly improve student’s quality of life. You'll be at the front end of an innovative program that collaborates closely with school counselors to extend their ability to care for students. As a Virtual Therapist you will provide direct therapeutic services to students within our partner school districts, including assessments, brief evidence-based interventions, and discharge planning.
Ideal candidates will be familiar with evidence-based mental health therapies for children and adolescents, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; able to quickly build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with other clinicians and school officials; and experienced and comfortable with teletherapy and documenting notes in electronic medical records. Description
- Provide virtual consultation and solution focused therapeutic interventions for students in grades K-12
- Provide virtual consultation crisis intervention services for students in grades K-12
- Provide culturally relevant counseling and treatment
- Collaborate with care management team to identify and support transition services
- Participate in trainings, meetings, and other activities with PM Pediatrics School Health team and school officials Maintain weekly scheduled therapy appointments.
- Complete required documentation and paperwork including clinical assessments, treatment planning, and updating of patient medical records within of 24 hours of patient visits.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment to patients.
- Demonstrate commitment to the philosophy of the agency.
- Assist in developing local promotional material to support referral partnerships.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling
- Licensed in Nevada and/or Texas
- Prior school-based mental health experience strongly preferred
- Team-Worker: Ability to work well and communicate with others while maintaining a positive attitude
- Language proficiency in Spanish is an advantage but not required
