New opened Modern Brazilian cuisine restaurant located in Glen Cove, Long Island. +150 seats with a 12 seats full bar.

We are looking for skilled and experienced sautee/grill/prep/fry cooks for our growing establishment. Minimum three years of full restaurant kitchen experience. Experience in French cuisine or Culinary education background is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• prepare food to the head chef’s specifications and set up stations for the menu.
• Accomplish the daily tasks given by the executive chef and sous chef
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Follow the recipes Prepare food for service
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report, and follow the executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Job Requirements

• Three years of full restaurant kitchen experience.
• Experience in French cuisine or Culinary education background is a plus.
• Good communication skills with coworkers.
• Ability to follow a recipe.
• Acts with a sense of urgency and provides friendly, efficient service to team members and guests.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
