Logistics Manager

Pay Rate: $33,800-$71,000

What you’ll do:

-Effectively manages dealers and company assets to achieve maximum revenue, transactions and utilization while adhering to all cost saving objectives.

-Oversees the profitable and productive use of inventory within territory.

-Utilizes key business drivers such as revenue, revenue per unit, utilization, and transactions to position fleet for maximum return.

-Ensures all reservations are covered on a daily basis.

-Responsible for scheduling and prioritizing daily runs to fulfill reservations, and communicate placement of reservations; leverage information systems to optimize maintenance scheduling and PM currency and communicate maintenance performance deficiencies with appropriate field management.

Job Duty/ Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on assignment and region.

-Oversees the profitable and productive use of inventory within territory.

-Utilizes key business drivers such as revenue, revenue per unit, utilization, and transactions to position fleet for maximum return.

-Ensures all reservations are covered on a daily basis.

-Responsible for managing, scheduling and prioritizing daily runs to fulfill reservations, and communicate placement of reservations.

-Coordinate, disburse and maintain the activities of shuttle drivers over a designated geographic area.

-Schedules and prioritizes daily runs to fulfill reservations, and communicates placement of reservations.

-Coordinates truck swaps with Road Side Assistance on critical break down issues.

-Proactively investigates all service interruptions including all level of resolution management.

-Identifies and moves all trucks designated for disposal from the active fleet.

-Leverage information systems to optimize maintenance scheduling and PM currency and communicate maintenance performance deficiencies with appropriate field management.

-Administer process of retrieving trucks and making sure they are towed to correct facilities for recalls, rebranding or sale/trade.

-When trucks are in serviced and responsible for determining in service locations.

-Manage, coordinate, verify and track all accessories and towing.

Required Education:

-Associates/Bachelors’ degree 2-4 years of college preferred (or equivalent in education, experience or training).

Required Experience:

-Two or more years in operations, customer service or inventory/logistics

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Background in retail, customer service and or fleet reservation or inventory related experience a plus.

-Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills and capable of determining priorities in a fast paced, changing environment.

-Strong problem-solving skills and results-driven orientation. Able to demonstrate drive for achieving results and ability to convey a sense of urgency when appropriate.

-Strong organization and administration skills and detail orientation to ensure day to day smooth operations and to keep detailed, accurate records.

-Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate accurate inventory information to a wide variety of audiences, including staff, operations and corporate management.

-Strong customer service skills along with a strong responsiveness to the inventory needs of staff at each location, and the needs of the customers.

-Strong math and analytical skills, ability to analyze complex inventory data and cost figures to determine areas of concerns or areas that require action.

-Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office Excel.

Supervisory Experience:

-Hiring, terminating, interviewing, assigning work & completing appraisals.
