Are you a seasoned disability claim professional looking for a new opportunity where you help solve tough problems and make a positive impact? Join Brown & Brown Absence Services Group as a contracted member of our network of Technical Claim Consultants.

As part of Brown & Brown Absence Services Group’s Claim Sourcing Solutions team of independent 1099 contractors, you will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule from anywhere in the United States, using your specialized skills in claim investigation and the interpretation of policy provisions. You’ll make a positive impact, working directly with claimants, policyholders, and other risk resources like medical/vocational experts.

Our contracted Consultants are crucial members of our team, and you can expect to be in consistent contact with business leaders while working on a wide range of projects with many of our industry’s top disability insurance carriers.

Qualifications of the ideal candidate:

• 5+ years of experience managing group claims within an insurance carrier including STD, LTD, ID, LWOP, or PTD with appellate level and/or quality/compliance review skills a plus
• Experience with products within the absence spectrum, including: leave/absence products, STD, LTD, Life Waiver, and Life is preferred.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Effective performance as an individual contributor and as a member of a team
• 4-year college degree or commensurate work experience
