Job description

As a Lube Technician at G&R Diesel Performance & Repair, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and basic repairs. You will work with a team of experienced technicians to diagnose and repair complex issues and ensure that our customers' vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and basic repairs.
• Work with senior technicians to diagnose and repair more complex issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
• Order parts and supplies as needed to complete work orders.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, and maintain all tools and equipment in good working order.
• Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date with the latest diesel engine and equipment technology and maintenance practices.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school or training in diesel mechanics preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic or lube technician preferred, but not required
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair basic mechanical issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
