JOB SUMMARY:

A Machine Operator produces parts by programming, setting up, and operating a variety of CNC machines including laser cutting, plasma cutting, shear cutting, rolling, press brakes, milling centers, saws, and punches. Prioritized work is based on production needs at that time.

A top performing Machine Operator must be able to produce parts by programming, setting up, and operating a variety of CNC machines including laser cutting, plasma cutting, shear cutting, rolling, press brakes, milling centers, saws, and punches. Machine Operators need experience with basic hand tools including wrenches, hammers, prybars, grinders, magnets, pliers, etc. and able to operate various types of lifting devices. It is helpful for a Machine Operator tohave previous manufacturing experience and operational knowledge of CNC cutting machines, press brakes, drills, and saws, but not required.

• Long-term permanent position
• 10hr Shifts Mon-Fri (if required, OT on Fridays)
• 1st & 2nd Shifts Available!
• 1st Shift: Stagger starts 5am, 5:30am, 6am, or 6:30am
• 2nd Shift: 5pm-3:30AM

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain company quality and safety standards while operating equipment and performing job responsibilities.
• Read drawings to ensure productions of parts are within tolerance through using various measuring devices such as calipers, protractors, tape measures, etc.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Use of basic hand tools including wrenches, hammers, prybars, grinders, magnets, pliers, etc.
• Operate various types of lifting devices including vac lift, overhead, gantry, and jib cranes while handling material weights up to 10,000lbs. Manual lifting up to 35 lbs.

Must haves:

• Able to interpret and understand work instructions, operating instructions, and prints to perform job task safety and effectively
• Able to use, read, and understand general tools used in fabrication (tape measure, protract, calipers, etc.)
• Able to problem solve with attention to detail
• Able to count, find angles, and possesses basic math skills
• Able to run one machine in fabrication proficiently with little to no quality defects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Operational knowledge of CNC cutting machines, press brakes, drills, and saws
• Fabrication experience
• Enjoys working in a team environment
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
