This job is a very self directed position where you operate basic machine shop equipment to saw (band saw), cut, drill, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend or straighten aluminum and steel material to produce production and non-production (repair) parts to required tolerances.
Basic job requires:
- Operation and setup of basic machine equipment to fabricate parts
- Verifying required materials specified by work order are available and correct
- Performing first piece inspection to validate compliance with prints and tolerences
- Completing all specs on work order
- Ensuring a safety compliant work environment
Requirements:
- Standing throughout the day, lifting materials up to 40 lbs occasionally
- PPE required - steel toed shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection
