The Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation, has a seasonal position (no benefits) available at Dead Horse Point State Park in Moab, Utah. This appointment will last from approximately April 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022, with possibility of extension. Housing is not provided.

Examples of Duties
The Maintenance and Construction Specialist will drive the park’s water truck and trailer between the park and Moab, Utah (approximately 62 miles, roundtrip) in order to keep the park supplied with potable water. On most days, the driver will have to make multiple trips.

Job Requirements and Skills
Applicant must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Utah Commercial Driver’s License at time of employment. Applicant must have a tanker endorsement, or have the ability to get a tanker endorsement within 14 days of employment. Applicant must provide a current copy of their driving record. Applicant must have the ability to work independently.

Other
This position will be scheduled for 32 hours per week (4, 8-hour shifts). Applicants must be willing to work in an outdoor setting, and work weekends and holidays, when needed. Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check upon hire.
