Maintenance Assistant Technician for Hampton Hall
Job description
Hampton Hall Club is ideally situated in Bluffton and is currently accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Technician.
Weekend availability is a requirement for this position.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting in the maintaining all buildings and equipment throughout the property. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.
The ideal candidate should possess solid knowledge of power tools and of the trades to understand repair problems and make repairs. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner.
- Perform assignments as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
- Assist with the duties of other mechanics when required, including light carpentry, plumbing, grounds maintenance, electrical, painting, pool and spa maintenance, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Repair malfunctioning mechanic devices
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary vocational/technical training in electrical systems and plumbing desirable
- Minimum of two years’ job related maintenance experience or engineering
- Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service
PREFERRED
- Club experience strongly preferred
- Certification from Technical Maintenance Trade School
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment.
