The Maintenance and Calibration Engineer will lead maintenance, calibration and continuous improvement activities for the Millburn manufacturing and major laboratory equipment, utilities and facilities to establish consistent production output while keeping down-time to a minimum and improving reliability over time.
  • Execute with the help of mechanics, and third party providers the planned and unplanned maintenance activities for all utilities equipment like HVACs and air compressors. Provide effective troubleshooting activities and planning required to maintain, repair, and improve a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment, site buildings, grounds, and utilities/support systems.
  • Manage / perform / plan and ensure manufacturing / major laboratory equipment preventive maintenance and calibration according to plan. Monitor work order status, follow up to close open work orders in timely manner into the maintenance tracking software system.
  • Ensures timely PM, calibration and break down work order execution. Ensures work orders are closed and returned back to the maintenance. Ensures routine PM and calibration are completed as specified. Maintain manufacturing equipment to perform at optimum performance level to meet production targets. Includes safety, utility and facility systems. Ensuring that systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime.
  • Review and provide recommendations to improve PM/calibration work to reduce down time. Improve and develop manufacturing maintenance processes using available data. Review, revise and update SOP’s. Establishing different maintenance procedures and protocols related to the facility and equipment.
  • Maintain facilities all the time to acceptable level of FDA, OSHA and environmental agency compliance. Assist in maintaining Engineering Documentation up to date to the requirements of FDA, EU, OSHA, etc. Assist in the preparing and maintaining site for any audits. Implements audit report recommendations as applicable.
  • Manage procurement of spare parts and equipment in line with established processes, ensuring availability for planned maintenance and unplanned repair. Assist in testing components, fixtures, or fittings.
  • Provide support to create, implement change control appropriately and in a timely manner.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $92,800 and $139,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years relevant experience or Master's Degree with 2+ years relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, in a maintenance/engineering capacity is required
  • Must be able to adhere to all applicable procedures, cGMPs, company policies and any other quality or regulatory requirements. (For example: OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, etc.)
  • Manage, plan and schedule compliant maintenance of utilities/facilities with in house staff or third-party service providers
  • · Owner of relevant change controls. Able to collaborate with teams on projects.
