The Role
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or Shift Leader, the Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, maintain and improve mechanical systems with the intent of improving uptime and efficiency. Essential Duties: · *Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on different mechanical drive systems, pumps, fans, conveyors or other site equipment. *Troubleshoot problems with mechanical equipment, install, repair, maintain ,observe and monitor equipment condition in operation; listening for problems; Identify mechanical problems using a variety of testing devices *Troubleshoot basic electrical problems with the equipment as motors, frequency drives, contacts , relays or other components *Complete work orders On time and follow the WO process *Informs storeroom of needed equipment, parts, and supplies. *Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
High School diploma, GED or equivalent • Basic computer and math skills • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to work in varying temperatures • Maintain high attendance standards • Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions • 1+ year of Machine Maintenance experience is required • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred • Associates Degree or certification in industrial maintenance preferred
