Job description

Responsibilities include:

· Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.

· Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.

• Adjust, maintain, repair tools, equipment, and machines, and assist more skilled workers with similar tasks.
• Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools.
• Disassemble broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete.
• Apply protective materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and corrosion.
• Assemble and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
• Prepare workstations for use by mechanics and repairers.
• Design, weld and fabricate parts, using blueprints or other mechanical plans.

Experience and Skills Required:

We are looking for individuals who have a sense of urgency, are mechanically inclined, able to work in a hot environment as well as under pressure, able to stand, kneel, and squat on a frequent basis and lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.

Other skills include:

· High School Diploma or GED preferred

· Experience using hand tools (pneumatic tools, wrenches, hammers and chisels)

· Work fairly independently or under minimal supervision

· Safety/quality minded

· Good work ethic

· Organized and detail oriented

· Able to effectively communicate to employees, departments and management

· Forklift experience and using overhead cranes a plus

· Self-starter

Takes responsibilities for own actions including the impact of own decisions on others
