We are offering a $500 SIGN ON BONUS FOR THIS POSITION! ($250 after two weeks and $250 after two months)

This position is located at our Neurobehavioral Residential/Educational Treatment Program on Zachary Road in Manchester. The program serves individuals aged from 5 to 21 with developmental disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, traumatic brain injuries and other neurological disorders. In this role, the successful candidate will provide custodial services including cleaning, painting, and light repairs. Additional responsibilities include:

• Maintain Easterseals buildings in a safe, functional, and habitable condition.
• Maintain all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, making repairs when necessary. Call supervisors when outside contractor or other types of assistance are required.
• Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing switches and plugs, running new phone and computer cables and installing terminals.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs including unstopping drains, repairing leaks, and changing faucets.
• Perform minor carpentry including hanging shelves and repairing windows, walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Paint interior and exterior of building in a professional manner.
• Maintain grounds of Easterseals properties including shrubs, trees, lawns, mulch beds, parking lots, sidewalks, gutters, etc.
• Interact with staff and clients in a cordial and professional manner.
• Assist in office moves; meeting setups and breakdowns; and assist with special events including set up, breakdown and clean up.
• Assist in keeping Easterseals clients and staff in a safe and secure environment.
• Perform janitorial duties when needed.

Qualifications:

• One year experience in general maintenance in a health or welfare agency
• High school education or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance that meets our coverage requirements.

Compensation: $19 / hour, depending on experience + on-call pay

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with on-call rotation
