The Position:

As a Manager of Facilities and Grounds, at Fireside Catering, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and care of the Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill (North Andover, MA), ensuring that it is kept in pristine condition at all times. This includes overseeing the property’s buildings in addition to maintaining the landscaping. The ideal candidate will have prior estate caretaking experience and knowledge of all aspects of the grounds and facilities of an expansive property. This is a full-time opportunity.

The Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill was built in 1886 by Moses Stevens. It is one of the last remaining Victorian era estates in the area and is a historical landmark that is beloved by the community. The property consists of four buildings: a 23,000 square foot main house, a stable, a carriage house and a gatehouse. There are approximately 10 acres of manicured lawns and gardens.

Housing is available for the selected candidate in the newly renovated Gate House located at the entrance to the property. Residing on the property is preferred but not required. However, the ability to respond quickly to emergencies is required.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in property management, janitorial and light maintenance
  • Prior landscaping or groundskeeping experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of tools
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems of an older estate
  • Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC knowledge a plus
  • Comfortable interacting with the general public, representing our company in a professional manner
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must be dependable and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to respond to emergencies or security issues promptly
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50lbs
