The Manufacturing Engineer will direct the Forming and the CNC Departments across the shifts to facilitate new Forming and CNC project launches and sampling, as well as continuous improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reviews scheduled jobs in the department on a daily basis to assure we have required materials and tooling ready for production
• Develops and updates process instructions
• Converts instructions to Dozuki (picture and video instructions)
• Completes PFMEA's
• Manages Forming Sample Process and manages all documentation resulting from it
• Reviews rates on all orders to assure they are in line with expected run times and records standard in the MRP (E2) system
• Assures that set-up sheet instructions are clear and updated whenever changes are being made
• Actively encourages employee engagement and process ownership through clarifying goals, continuous communication, individual appreciation and actively listening to employee suggestions
• Assures department 5S and organization are implemented and sustained
• Participates in and performs Kaizen events
• Assists in troubleshooting any forming or CNC issues
• Sets up new jobs and prepares process instructions for new set up and trials
• Audits and assures that procedures are being followed throughout the department; assists in the training and development of forming and CNC personnel
• Support and implements quality initiates
• Performs CAR's analysis to identify root causes and implement solutions per ISO 9001:2015 and 1400:2015 program requirements
• Develops and implements TPM processes making machines visual
• Performs set-up improvements and scrap reduction actions
• Assists in tooling and assists in improvements
• Responsible for improving department OEE and $/labor hours
• Develops Forming Process Management Systems and Standards (SPC)
• Follows all safety procedures to create a safe work environment for all personnel
• Implements 5S and Lean Manufacturing (OPEX) initiatives
