General Summary:

In the absence of the Marketing Manager; assumes overall authority of Marketing Department and supervisory authority of all Marketing Department.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists in developing and implementing marketing strategies and marketing plans.
• Assists in planning marketing schedules including advertising all media.
• Assists in developing marketing concepts and methods to expand customer base.
• Assists in developing statistical and demographic information for marketing research.
• Assists in working with advertising agencies and media representatives to help design cost effective advertising campaigns.
• Assists in developing and maintain public relations functions with city, state, county organizations i.e., chamber of commerce, to promote casino interest and good will.
• Assists in reviewing, proofread all marketing advertising, signage before initial documents are signed and/or returned back to agencies.
• Provides assistance to ensure teamwork is a shared responsibility by completing various tasks that may be requested by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

• Sedentary work.
• Subject to inside environmental conditions including working in smoking environment.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from accredited college in marketing or business; or five years experience in a marketing environment; or combination of education and experience.
• Must have computer skills to include creating databases, spreadsheets; word processing would be helpful.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form is desired.
• Must be twenty-one years of age.
• Strong administrative organizational skills.
• Must be able to work in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of gaming facilities and operations desired.
• Ability to make sound decisions, possess leadership abilities and problem solving skills.
• Some travel required.
• Operations are conducted seven days a week and on holidays.
• Incumbent is subject to a comprehensive background check.
• Incumbent may be required to be available on call and to work extended hours.
• Subject to drug testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Employee Drug and Alcohol Policy.
