SUMMARY

The Marketing assistant provides a wide range of administrative and specialized project-based support for the Marketing Director (as needed). They must have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and possess strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. The ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities is imperative. The Marketing assistant must be able to work under pressure, at times, to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)

  • Exhibit a proper attitude in effectively dealing with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities as necessary
  • Computer knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Flexibility in working various cardroom marketing functions as scheduled by the department
  • Performs all related duties as assigned by the Marketing Director
  • Experience with graphic art applications
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage execution of all marketing partnerships on all media channels including website, mobile app, social media as well as additional digital and traditional media channels. Collaborate with marketing professionals and other stakeholders to ensure timely communication of partnership initiatives and enhance partner marketing opportunities.
  • Responsible for producing valuable content for the company’s online presence, editorial design and organizing the company’s publications.
  • Supporting the Marketing Director in establishing and evaluating a marketing strategy and plan by analyzing and assembling sales forecasts, updating calendars, and organizing and planning promotional presentations.
  • Attends department meetings as needed.
  • Supervise the marketing responsibilities in the absence of the Marketing Director.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Two years in marketing or a related field experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CAL OSHA

  • Communicate and implement the organization’s IIPP and its requirements to employees.
  • Facilitate & ensure the proper safety orientation of all new hires.
  • Develop a process to maintain incident/illness prevention and health and safety programs.
  • Develop a process to perform department safety inspections at least quarterly for Delta C, LP operations.
  • Incorporate IIPP requirements and responsibilities into each appropriate job description and ensure that system requirements and expectations are communicated to each employee.
  • Ensure that no new equipment and or process is released for operations until the company engineering and or available safety professional resources perform a risk assessment of any new processes and or equipment and confirm through writing that it is safe to deploy the new equipment or process.
  • Take ownership of any safety issues by proposing solutions to fix it.
