About Job

As a key member of the Production Control Team, you will be responsible ensuring that all data/information is available for a flawless material flow. You will coordinate material flow activity, including material storage planning and requirements, internal controls, and compliance for their functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures correct inventories for Component/Press/Assembly material (inventory control process)
  • Interfaces with suppliers, LLP, and plant floor on material issues
  • Monitors pull systems through periodic audits
  • Resolves numerous issues dealing with suppliers, supplier contracts or buyer related problems
  • Evaluate daily Reports to ensure material availability for production requirements
  • Responds to and resolves floor problems in the assigned floor area such as min/max conditions, standard pack discrepancies, packaging compliance coordination with the supplier, labeling, part misuse, and discrepancy reports
  • Resolves other supplier non-conformances
  • Investigates supplier claims of unpaid invoices
  • Investigates duplicate receipts
  • Manages part buffers
  • Participates on PFEP team
  • Coordinates material activities surrounding a plan for every part for PV and all launch activities
  • Manages material flow on source/vendor changes
  • Maintains all plant material records
  • Investigates record errors
  • Investigates part histories to identify misuse, spec issues, unaccounted scrap or potential theft
  • Investigates Over, Short, and Discrepancies on supplier shipments
  • Performs receiving / material receipt analysis and investigates losses
  • Audit of receiving process, follow-up, and resolution of discrepancies
  • Support Engineering Change Process
  • Supports supplier evaluation and development

Education and Ideal Experience

  • A minimum of three years of experience in supply chain management field in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or similar degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Experience working with SAP system.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • The factory has both office area and shop floor area. The noise level in the office area is generally quiet. Wearing of personal protective equipment’s (PPE) when visiting the shop floor or when visiting a supplier’s manufacturing locations is required.
