Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Materials Distribution Tech/Warehouse Delivery Driver to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

Will maintain the goals of inventory control by accurately pulling and then checking orders that are pulled. Ensure that supplies that are boxed up are clearly marked for delivery. Will take care and maintain the delivery vehicles, checking fluids and tire pressure, and drive in a safe manner. Secure loads in the vehicles, and keep the inside of the vehicles clean. Conduct yourself with courtesy and professionalism with the clinics. Maintains a safe, clean and orderly supply room and receiving area by helping put supplies away. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the hospital.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Is directly responsible for receiving all medical and surgical supplies for the hospital. Follows established computer guidelines for the hospital’s information system.
• Maintains general stores and receiving area in a clean and safe environment for supplies to be received and inventories maintained following accepted guidelines.
• Pulls and delivers supplies from the storeroom and the receiving area to designated users in a timely manner.
• Responsible for all shelving organization and maintains all supplies off the floor.
• Responsible for putting supplies away and checking pulled orders for accuracy.
• Follows written or oral instructions, works well with others, and presents a neat appearance and pleasant manner.
• Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Education/Certification: High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience: One to Three months of driving and operate delivery van, and delivery tuck (GVW) under 26,000 lbs. Also forklift and pallet jack experience.

Equipment/Technology: Ability to use and operate basic computer functions, basic scanning and copy machine usage. Ability to use lift gate, forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.

Language/Communication: Ability to verbally explain, or write either in e-mail or note form any issues with vehicles. Ability to listen and work with clinics and departments with courtesy and professionalism in person and over the phone.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, in all unites of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Mental Capabilities: Ability to carry out oral, written, or diagrammed instructions. Ability to understand problems and complex issues with multiple variables to find a resolution.
