Materials Manager
Job description
Position Overview:
Materials Management 2 must be able to successfully complete all duties of Materials Management 1, re-supply all carts/areas serviced by the department with the exception of the Operating Room. He/she must be able to accurately check in and distribute freight received into the department. He/she must demonstrate adequate product knowledge to function effectively and efficiently in the department. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
Essential Functions:
Restock supply carts and areas to par levels.
Check in freight.
Distribute freight as necessary.
Restock shelves as necessary.
Fill departmental "office orders" as necessary.
Look up item information on the computer.
Be able to process electronic requisitions.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Qualifications & Skills:
a) Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
b) Training & Experience: Prefer 10-key skills.
c) Job Knowledge: None required.
