Olympia High School, located in the heart of Windermere, FL. Olympia High School strives hard to deliver high quality education daily to every student. Our instructors work in small learning teams to assist with lesson building, classroom management and mentoring. We currently have 2900 students, smaller than most high schools in Central Florida but we are growing to 3100 next school year. Our math department consists of a Math Coach (over 15 years teaching/coaching experience), a Math Lead teacher and an Assistant Principal to assist with all curriculum needs. Each teacher is part of a PLC that has common planning each day and meets once a week to go over data and lessons. We offer Advanced Placement courses, Dual Enrollment (UF, UCF, VCC, SCC, FAU, FIU, Embry Riddle) along with career preparation programs at Orange Technical College. Our goal is to ensure that each of our students leaves Olympia High School with the tools and knowledge necessary to be successful in today's world.

We are looking for two math instructors. One for Algebra 1 and one for Geometry. Our Algebra 1 classes are capped at 15 students per class and push in and pull out services from our tutors along with assistance by the Math Coach. Geometry classes are capped at 25 students and just like Algebra there will be push in and pull out services and assistance by the Math Coach. Our math team is driven to push our students to the next level by knowing each student and what that student needs in order to be successful.

Applicants should hold a Temporary Certification/Statement of Eligibility from Florida in Math 5-9 or Math 6-12.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,980.11 - $54,169.59 per year
