JOB PURPOSE
To perform maintenance on Ascent Aviation’s Ground Support Equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Lifting, Standing, Sitting, Bending, and Walking.
Equipment Operated: Man-lifts, Scissor-lifts, Pick-up Truck, and Forklifts.
Work Location: Ground Support Building.
Potential Hazards: Noise Exposure, Chemical Exposure.
Protective Equipment Required: Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection, and Eye Protection.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Repairs and maintains all equipment that is assigned to his/her sections.
- Requisitions parts and supplies for his/her area.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Sweeps area daily. All supplies, parts, and equipment should be arranged in a professional manner.
- Monitors “Maintenance due dates” and performs services is a timely manner.
- Maintains assigned vehicle to ensure reasonable cleanliness and that vehicle is properly serviced.
- Assists Ground Support personnel with the transportation requirements for various aircrews and Ascent Aviation personnel.
- Work area must be secured at all times to prevent theft of personal and Company property.
- Establishes and maintains a Preventative Maintenance Program for all equipment assigned to his/her area.
- Adheres to all Ascent Aviation Policies.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.
SMS REQUIREMENTS
- Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and SMS compliance.
- Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
- Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.
Duties not listed within the position description may be required of the employee at the discretion of the department management. Job functions may vary due to irregular working conditions or multiple shift positions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Mechanical Equipment and the repair of equipment. Ability to read and interpret repair manuals. Knowledge of hand and power tools. Understanding of common repair hardware. Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
Education/Training: High School or Equivalent, Maintenance Technical training or Job Related Experience.
Experience: One year ground support equipment maintenance experience.
Certificates/Licenses: Valid driver’s license required.
Other: May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
