Job Summary

Hörmann High Performance Doors, a rapidly growing division of a world leading manufacturer of high performance industrial doors, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer based in their Burgettstown, PA location.

Key Responsibilities

• New product design including high speed fabric, sectional, and rolling steel doors
• Develop and implement product design enhancements resulting in increased quality, manufacturability, and cost reductions
• Administrator of CREO/Windchill environments
• Work with the engineering group to update existing CREO models as needed
• Design, test, and implement product enhancements based on field feedback
• Act on Engineering Change Requests as needed
• Work with production floor personnel as needed

Required Skills and Experience

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years of mechanical design experience
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Knowledge of architectural testing and international building codes a plus
• Analytical problem solver
• Able to work with minimal supervision and accomplish goals in a timely manner
• Experience with Pro-Engineer/CREO 3D modeling software using parametric programming
• Experience constructing and maintaining product bills of material
• Experience with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
• Lean methodology experience
• 1-3 years of mechanical design experience in product development and manufacturing
• Effective communicator
• Ability to work in a group environment
