Urgently Hiring a Medical Assistant in Bardonia, NY!

Job Description:

• Prepare rooms for the day
• Escort patients to room; prepare patients for examination
• Record height/weight (head circ if age appropriate) and blood pressure
• Ask parent or patient about chief complaint and document
• Obtain and document the birth history for all new patients less than 1 year old.
• Obtain and document the family medical history
• Clean and restock rooms and equipment
• Relay messages as may be required by physicians
• Obtain lab and diagnostic testing results as needed
• Obtain prior authorizations for infusions to include both for the facility, home care vendor and medication as needed
• Gather all pertinent medical information to submit to facilities or home care providers
• Finger Sticks, A1C, Spirometry

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday 8:45 am to 5:45 pm (some days earlier some later)
• Saturday 8:45 am to approximately 1:00 pm.
  • Will work half day during week on weeks you work Saturday

Job Qualifications:

• No MA Diploma or Cert required
• Experience taking vitals and doing administrative work as well
• Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and Flu
• Start ASAP, Contract until March
