Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reports to the Assistant Director of Managed Care Contracting and is responsible for identification and registration of the bundled rate patients in all required billing systems. Interpret bundled rate contracts to identify appropriate time frame for billing the bundled rate and ensure claims are registered correctly. Responsible for identifying and correcting the registration fsc/department when claims are not registered, billed or posted correctly. Assist with collections of bundled rate claims. Analyze and follow bundled rate patients to determine if all appropriate claims have been submitted and paid.

- Interpret bundled rate contracts to identify appropriate time frame for billing the bundled rate and ensure claims are registered correctly.
- Identify and notify the registration department when claims are not registered, billed or posted correctly.
- Analyze and follow bundled rate patients to determine if all appropriate claims have been submitted and paid.
- Set up patient charts.
- Create patient electronic files, ensuring files are added to patient electronic record, review work queues daily to determine if rates are bundled.
- Add bundled indicator and ensure bundled coverage is linked to the service.
- Associates degree preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years', billing experience in healthcare setting.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience and EPIC training and experience is mandatory.
