Job description

WellShare International uses a community health worker (CHW) model to implement many of its programs. CHWs can be enrolled providers under the MN Department of Human Services, and therefore eligible for reimbursement for services rendered. This position is responsible for entering relevant data needed for claims submission into WellShare’s electronic health records system.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in Excel required
• Strong time management skills
• Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Excellent email and verbal communication
• Organizational, time management and multitasking skills
• Dependability
• Electronic health record experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Data entry

• Transfer data from spreadsheets to electronic health record system
• Assure data quality in the data entry process
• Eligibility verifications

2. Claims management

• Track denials and exceptions through an EHR
• Collaborate with Program Manager on resubmission and resolution of denials

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship skills for effective collaboration with a diverse group of agencies and people inside and outside of the organization
• Sit at a desk for extended periods with efficient computer keyboarding
• Ability to visually review detailed information; hear and speak by telephone and online meeting platforms

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
