Medical Massage Therapist

Job Description:

One Health Medical Centers is an organization with over 9 years serving the community in South Florida. The organization owns and operates six centers providing multi-specialty medical services throughout Miami – Dade County. As a Medical Massage Therapist, you will be responsible of collaborating closely with our physicians to treat patients who are affected with chronic pain and proving alternative treatments and collaborating with traditional medicine to reduce pain and promote healing.

Responsibilities Include:

• A Medical massage Therapist is a License Massage Therapist (LMT) who treats conditions diagnosed by a physician
• Develop and propose patient treatments unique to their individual needs.
• Works closely with physicians to treat patients
• Practical Knowledge of Manual massage
• Practical Knowledge of Therapeutic exercises
• Practical Knowledge of Eclectic Stimulation
• Practical Knowledge of Contrast Therapy
• Practical Knowledge of Infrared Therapy
• Practical Knowledge of Paraffin Bath Treatment
• Practical Knowledge of Hot and Cold Therapy
• Practical Knowledge of Home Care Exercises plans
• Exhibit a strong desire to help others and promote health and wellness
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Maintain room clean and sanitized

Requirements:

• Knowledge of medical terminology – required
• Knowledge of HIPPA regulations – required
• Massage Therapy experience at least 2 years (Preferred)
• 1-2 years of practical knowledge a must
• Must comply with local and state licensing laws and regulations
• Strong individual and team contributor
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Prepare list for ordering medical supplies – as needed
• English, Spanish and/or Creole – required – Depending on office location
• Adhere to company policy and procedures
• Background and drug testing – Mandatory
• Able to cross cover on other clinic locations – as required
• Overtime – If required
• Complete other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
