Pay Range & Benefits:
STARTING SALARY: $53,975 - $63,500/yr
POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinate and oversee Mental Health First Aid Program including scheduling classes, teaching classes, correspondence with instructors and participants. Assisting with community engagement and other community education projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Teaching and coordinating MHFA program for WellPower
- Develop and maintain relationships to enhance and expand the Mental Health First Aid program
- Data entry
- Recruit both internal staff and external partners to serve as Mental Health First Aid instructors
- Coordinate materials and resources needed for successful facilitation of both virtual and in-person Mental Health First Aid classes
- Assist at WellPower events
- Must be instructor certified to teach MHFA modules within first six months of employment
- Support with grant tracking and submittal
- Support Engagement and Communications team in project coordination including Education, Training, and Consultation services
- Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in the behavioral health services field)
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred Instructor Certification and experience in teaching Mental Health First Aid Programs.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness principles and practices
- Comfort navigating changing technology systems and databases
- Ability to work with diverse populations and personalities
- Customer service oriented
- Training/Teaching
- Public speaking and/or comfortable speaking in front of all sizes of groups
- Attention to detail
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
