Position Summary:

Provides school level support to private childcare providers, Head Start agencies, and school districts to ensure achievement of the goals and values of the Children’s Learning Institute. Trains and mentors classroom teachers and administrators in implementation of the Texas School Ready! Initiative.


Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Assists in designing and implementing professional development, mentoring, and technical assistance for classroom teachers.
  • Collaborates with teachers to complete and interpret ongoing child progress monitoring data.
  • Provides support to administrators through guidance with the Technical Assistance Plan for Texas School Ready! Certification including developing goals and improvement plans to ensure that quality services are provided to schools, teachers, and children.
  • Maintains effective and timely written and oral communications with all constituencies.
  • Reads, understands, interprets, and implements applicable policies, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Provides information and guidance about the Texas School Ready! Certification system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Certified teacher preferred.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum Experience:

Five years experience in teaching or related field

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
