The following full-time and part-time positions are available at the White Oak School in Westfield, MA beginning in August of 2023:
Positions for Grades 5-12, Science - including General Science, Physics, and Biology
and Literacy/Reading Instruction

Qualifications: MA Licensure, Special Needs N-9 or Moderate Disabilities 5-12 preferred
Job Description:
Provide direct instruction to students in middle or high school in the areas of decoding, writing, reading comprehension, auditory memory/processing, executive functioning, and social thinking/pragmatics skills, as well as small group instruction in content-area science classes.
Responsible for teaching in both small group classrooms and one-to-one language remediation tutorials
Write IEP goals and objectives for Tutorials and content areas
Participate in Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings
Implementation and progress monitoring of IEP goals
Meet all requirements for the program, including IEP and Progress Report deadlines
Create a positive educational environment for all students using a multi-tiered system of supports
Use professional quality communication skills to convey information to the student’s team
Remain current with accepted and appropriate instructional theory, practice and research, including engaging in regular professional development to stay current in best practices for diverse learning.
