Overview: This position will be under minimal supervision, assists the Men’s and Group’s Pastors in providing ministerial guidance to church members and to administer projects, events and on-going ministry efforts. These responsibilities include budget processes, system reporting and analysis, direct electronic communication, marketing of department along with being a part of assisting the communication liaison to the other EMIC pastors, staff, congregate leaders, project stakeholders and church congregants. The successful candidate must serve as a team player and create synergy between ministry departments. The Minister is also responsible for congregant care and ministry as directed by leadership.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Frequently reviews responsibilities, process, and procedures for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provides administrative support to the Men’s and Group’s Pastor and helps coordinate projects and information supporting the department.
  • Coordinate bi-weekly and monthly projects for all Men’s meetings and events
  • Assist in providing accountability on all budget expenditures, continually analyzing major and operational expenditures
  • Communicate with vendors for all purchase orders
  • Contact all Men’s ministry group leaders to establish leadership roles within groups
  • Maintain an up to date and working knowledge of the status of the men of EMIC.
  • Develop, mentor, and train volunteer leaders and teams to facilitate ministry activities.
  • Coordinate content for all Men’s and Group’s ministry events
  • Data entry, attendance, event creation and reporting from Church Record Management database.
  • Teach, preach, and facilitate meetings for the men of EMIC through multiple avenues of communication, including but not limited to in-person services, broadcast services and events, Bible studies, groups, etc.
  • Attends meetings, compiles minutes, follow-up memos confirming decisions, assignments, etc. to appropriate stakeholders
  • Preemptively has prepared any information needed for Men’s meetings.
  • Successfully utilizes the church database along with other ministry software as implemented, as staff resources
  • Assist in the training of Ministry Leaders
  • Check all sound systems before events occur in the sanctuary, SLC, campus, and others
  • Daily upkeep of the Ministry Platform database for record keeping, i.e., Group attendance, Men’s Ministry attendance, leaders training communication, profile changes, guest /visitor input, reporting on communication statistics

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:

  • Associates Degree required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • High School Graduate: extra training in Microsoft Office preferred
  • Minimum 3 years Ministry leadership experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years administrative office experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • Have firm Biblical foundations with ability to teach and counsel
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Type at or above 50 wpm
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidentiality, discretion, and trust worthiness are required

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to lift to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer/laptop 7 hours a day
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones, and other office equipment

  • Able to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans
  • Must be very detailed, organized and require a modicum of instruction

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Typically works in an office or church environment.
  • Weekend, evening hours will be required, depending on events.

  • Born again believer and must adhere to this organization's doctrines as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives.
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties, and divisions
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
  • Membership and attendance at EMIC is required
  • Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with people of all cultures
