Putnam County Young Life is looking for a part-time mission staff eager to reach kids in the Palatka Area with a focus on Wyldife ministry. The right candidate will be able to lead, grow and develop the middle school ministry in the area of Putnam County. Right now, we have active ministry happening in Palatka High School with club and campaigners.

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about following Jesus, loves teenagers, and is eager to share the Gospel. This WyldLife mission staff will be the team leader and will directly oversee and develop WyldLife club in Putnam County with an intentional focus to build the foundation and relationship with middle schools in the area. We seek someone with a heart for middle schoolers who feels called to direct ministry and has a growth mindset. Expectations would include developing relationships with students/schools, recruiting and leading a small team of volunteers, and leading weekly clubs.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate effective organizational and planning skills, particularly in the areas of outreach, clubs, camps, and Campaigners (Bible studies).
• Oversee and participate in personalized ministry with kids.
• Develop and maintain donor relationships; manage personal fundraising.
• Effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
• Recruit and train volunteer leaders.
• Demonstrate effective team leadership.
• Participate in relevant prescribed and elective training to enhance spiritual maturity and performance.
• Establish effective working relationships with staff, parents, donors, board and community members.

Qualifications:

• A deep and growing faith in Jesus.
• A call to reach students with the Gospel.
• Experience working with teenagers (middle and/or high school age).
• Proven leadership skills.
• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
