Job Description:
IS4S is looking for a model-based systems engineer who’s not only interested in modeling but who’s also interested in hands-on building, testing, and fielding of their designs. IS4S works closely with Air Force, Army, and Navy engineers and scientists to build advanced military systems. IS4S is looking for candidates who are self-starters, teachable, and able to learn new things as they work together with other engineers and program managers to solve challenging technical problems. Job duties including creating, modifying, and understanding SysML models using Cameo Systems Modeler (formerly called MagicDraw). IS4S uses the US Air Force’s WeaponONE Government Reference Architecture (GRA) for all its munition programs. Additionally, candidates will be required to communicate with program managers, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinists when updating the model so all changes will be reflected. Candidate is expected to be able to present system engineering status in customer meetings and support the various developmental requirements and formal reviews with the customer. Furthermore, the candidate will be required to work with test engineers and support field testing as required and support other IS4S locations in the development of a companywide MBSE working group.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 1+ years of systems engineering experience.
• 1+ years of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) experience.
• Experience with Objected-Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM)
• Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
• Ability to work closely with a small, agile development team
• Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance

Desired Experience:

• Experience with WeaponONE Government Reference Architecture (GRA).
• Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
• Experience in DoD weapons development or integration
• Experience in prototyping and manufacturing
• Experience with programming languages like Python and C
