Family Worship Center is home to nearly 2000 attenders, and is a multi-locational church (Florence, Columbia, Georgetown, Sumter). We are professional, creative, rewarding and our goal is to impact our community and grow to reach out as far as we can with Gospel of Jesus.

FWC is looking for a full time employee that will function as our Music Director. We're looking for a musician who loves to worship God and who's ready to grow with us as we expand throughout South Carolina!

This is a full-time Music Director position which involves playing and singing for Sunday services, mid-week services, weekly rehearsals, as well as training other musicians for all of our FWC locations, as needed. Family Worship Center is a very diverse congregation, therefore the applicant must be musically diverse in multiple genres. We are a multitasking team so other skills would be beneficial.

Starting Pay: $45,000 negotiable with experience and education

Candidate Description

The ideal candidate for this position must be a team player and capable of finding solutions to the worship needs of the church.

• Experience using Planning Center Online for volunteer scheduling, music preparation, organization, and communication
• High level proficiency in playing an instrument and singing
• Should be able to read music (mid-level, minimum), and teach to others
• Working knowledge of chord carts (reading and writing)
• Knowledge of choral or worship team leading and instruction
• Able to complete projects like Easter, Christmas, church camps, and children’s music
• Applicant will be responsible for all service music prep and implementation including lyrics and other logistics
• Timely and keep a schedule
• Knowledge of music programs and DAW's like Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Sibelius, MainStage, Melodyne, Ableton, GarageBand, etc. (Any or all would be helpful)
• Knowledge of working with multitracks and stems
• Must be a praiser and a worshiper
• Some knowledge of sound would be useful
• Familiarity with Apple devices, Mac computers, iPhones, and the Apple ecosystem.
• A music degree is preferred but not required
