A day in the life (just a few of the things you may do on any given day):
We are seeking two experienced Network Administrators with a TS clearance to join our team. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the Motorola Radio Network Infrastructure (RNI), ensuring its smooth operation, and providing technical support to Unit Staff. Your expertise in system configuration, installation, software upgrades, and database management will be crucial in ensuring optimal network performance and security. In addition, you will play a key role in Over The Air Rekeying (OTAR) operations, form and document automation, and development changes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in network administration, possesses excellent troubleshooting skills, and holds a TS clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and monitoring of the Motorola Radio Network Infrastructure (RNI), ensuring optimal network performance.
- Upgrade software, databases, and active directory as necessary to maintain network functionality and security.
- Configure and install systems to support Over The Air Rekeying (OTAR) operations effectively.
- Provide technical support to Unit Staff, assisting with troubleshooting network issues and resolving them in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement form and document automation, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
- Collaborate with the team to identify network infrastructure improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to network administration and security.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and security protocols.
What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
- 3+ years of experience in network administration or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Motorola Radio Network Infrastructure (RNI) and its components.
- Proficiency in system configuration, installation, and maintenance.
- Experience with Over The Air Rekeying (OTAR) operations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide technical support and assistance to Unit Staff effectively.
- Familiarity with form and document automation and development changes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT-related field, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and training (preferred).
- Top Secret security clearance
