Job description
Purpose
This position is responsible for supporting Nextgen users – operation staff, billing staff and clinical staff. This includes system setup, preferences setup, user administration, user support, provider support and training.
Essential Job Functions
- Monitor and respond to the NextGen help desk tickets.
- Work with recruiters and Clinical Directors to onboard new providers and provide follow up training as needed.
- Assists in maintaining user administration and preferences within NextGen.
- Recommend and test system workflows to help our NextGen system run more efficiently.
- Provides support in any transitions and data conversions from other EHR systems into NextGen.
- Creating and maintaining documentation to be used for reference and training.
- Review of existing system admin setup and development of new setup processes and tracking procedures.
- Work with other systems that interface with Nextgen.
- Occasionally performs weekend or evening work – updates, patches, maintenance etc. that cannot be done during business hours.
- Travel may be required for training and team meetings in Louisville KY.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical industry preferred
- Strong desire to excel and achieve results
- Strong urgency and able to practice a high level of confidentiality.
- Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and rules of composition
- Ability to work effectively independently and with senior management and other team members
- Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner
- Customer service skill set is critical as all NextGen users are customers. Patience and problem solving skill are required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- 3 years’ experience with EHR software preferred – NextGen experience is helpful but not required.
