- 403(b) Retirement Plan with generous company contribution = 8.5% match after one year

We are accepting applications for Nurse Aides to join our company’s Assisted Living Department. The ideal candidates will have flexible availability (including weekends) and be willing to work 12 midnight to 8am.
- Answers call lights to determine residents’ needs.
- Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as:
- Bathing;
- Eating; which includes set-up, serving and collecting food plates and utensils,
- Feeding residents who require assistance;
- Dressing;
- Oral hygiene; and
- Grooming as needed.
- Provides assistance with toileting and provides appropriate peri-care for incontinent residents.
- Assists residents to turn, reposition, and transfer, which may be performed by the NA without assistance, with a two-person assistance, or by using a lift machine in accordance with the service plan.
- Transports residents with ambulation to and from their room to appropriate areas for activities and meals.
- Takes and records
- ADLs and chargeable time/units
- Vitals (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight, and respiration rates)
- Intake and output of food and fluid
- Transfers (one or two person) and ambulation status
- Mood/behaviors when resistant to care
- Pain level assessment (if applicable)
- Provides companion services according to service plan.
- Observes and reports to Licensed Staff all changes in condition (including significant changes), behavior or whereabouts that may require intervention.
- Monitors and supervises residents as assigned.
- Adheres to assigned work schedules and accurately uses the time and attendance system.
- Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement and/or Quality Assurance Programs.
- Interacts with residents in accordance with AFCs’ mission, core values, mindsets and guideposts.
- Exercises caution and good safety judgment in uncertain conditions or situations, and report and/or correct hazards, potential or actual.
- Ensures that all residents’ rights and privacy are protected and enforced, and establishes and maintains a close liaison with families.
- Attends mandatory in-service programs.
- Complies with annual employee health screening in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Participates and assists during emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook and/or the disaster policy.
- Other duties as assigned by the Arcadia Family of Companies.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical manuals.
- Ability to communicate with others (customers, vendors, and other employees, etc.) face to face (using service language).
- Ability to effectively present information in a small group setting.
- Ability to effectively present information in a large group setting.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide simple mathematical problems with or without the use of office equipment.
- Ability to compute percentage.
- Ability to write simple documents (general correspondence, documents)
- Ability to write more complex documents (detailed correspondence, instructions)
Computer Skills
While performing their essential functions, employees may be occasionally exposed to the following conditions:
- Air conditioned office environment;
- Indoors without air conditioning;
- Outdoors—all types of weather; and
- Hazardous materials.
